In 1995, I took over the reigns of a company called G&H Interiors having trained at the KLC School of Design in London. Since then, I have gone on to learn curtain & roman blind making, traditional and modern upholstery and much more. Learning never stops, but it pays to understand how curtains are constructed and how differently fabric behaves when draped or applied over different furniture shapes.

I’m John, the creative person behind G&H Interiors with 25 years experience in the interior design industry which continues within HatchSeventy. Ten years ago I decided to expand my knowledge base and learn about upholstery, starting with traditional skills and more recently in modern techniques. I have been lucky enough to train with some of the best, most talented & creative individuals and companies – starting in 1990 at KLC Design School where my journey in interior design began to (more recently) the amazingly creative Anthony Devine at Ministry of Upholstery in Manchester – the upholstery guru from BBC1’s “Money for Nothing” & “Flipping Profit”

My extensive experience,  industry knowledge and ability to reassure have assisted in building long-standing working relationships with clients and companies alike.
